10 conversations you need to have with your children
By
Shmuley Boteach

Why do I have to repeat everything? Why does every conversation end in an argument? Communicating with our children. Conversing. Connecting. When did it become so difficult? And how do we begin to change it for the better? This book was designed to help parents answer these important questions, and it is based on two fundamental ideas.. A book for parents of children of all ages, from toddlers, who are just beginning to become aware of the world around them, to adolescents, who must learn to navigate all sorts of tricky social and academic pressures.

  The RoMANtic's Guide
By Michael Webb

Reading this book opened my mind to a whole lot of romantic possibilities. It's full of suggestions maybe we used to do, but somehow forgot to keep doing. Of course, I adapted some of the suggestions to my circumstances. I like the idea of surprising my wife with little reminders while I'm away on business trips or the idea of mailing cards to her office to remind her during the day how much I love her. I tried the suggestion of hiding sticky notes, but she looked at me like I had lost my mind. She enjoyed receiving cards with clues leading up to a big date. The author has two things going for him--his desire to never stop being romantic, and his creativity.Reviewer: M. Kreg
The Happiest Baby on the Block: the New Way to Calm Crying and Help Your Newborn Baby Sleep Longer
By Harvey MP Karp

It Really really worked. After spending 5 and half sleepless weeks with our new baby daughter who cried and screamed and wailed all night every night we turned desperately to our pediatrician who recommended Dr. Karp's book to me and my husband. After only two nights of using Dr. Karp's suggestions and techniques (very important to do the Five Steps correctly we found) we had our daughter sleeping soundly and happily for 5 and half hours at night.... I highly highly recommend this book to any parents with a colicky baby - it will save your sanity and also get you some well-needed and deserved sleep! -Reviewer: Elizabeth
